We are excited to let you know that for the first time, Westbourne will be taking part in this hugely popular community initiative in support of St Elizabeth Hospice.

We will be announcing further details to students in virtual House assemblies after half term – explaining how they can get involved.

“Following the success of Elmer’s Big Parade in 2019 and Pigs Gone Wild in 2016. Wild in Art are delighted to be working with St Elizabeth Hospice on a new art trail for 2022.

Forty decorated owl sculptures will swoop into Ipswich during summer 2022 as part of The Big Hoot Ipswich 2022. Visitors will also be able to meet a parliament of Little Hoot Owls, designed by local schools and groups, which will be popping up in special locations all across town.

The owl sculpture was chosen specially as St Elizabeth Hospice has taken patients with progressive illnesses, and their families, “under the wing of its care” for 32 years.

Celebrating ‘all things Suffolk’, the owls will be on display in the town centre, waterfront and Christchurch Park from June to September.”
