Help and support for Under 18s

When the academy is closed and you need help, advice or support, you can get this from  the following agencies:

The NSPCC: Their helpline is staffed by trained professionals who can provide expert advice and support. If you are under 18 years of age and you need some help or advice you can call them for free on 0800 1111.

Suffolk Police: You can call them on 101 or 999 in an emergency. To find out what is happening in your area or to report a crime, go their website here:

YoungMinds: They are the UK’s leading charity fighting for young people’smental health. Text the YoungMinds Crisis Messenger, for free 24/7 support across the UK if you are experiencing a mental health crisis.

  • If you need urgent help text YM to 85258
  • All texts are answered by trained volunteers, with support from experienced clinical supervisors
  • Texts are free from EE, O2, Vodafone, 3, Virgin Mobile, BT Mobile, GiffGaff, Tesco Mobile and Telecom Plus.
