Dear Parent and Carers of Year 11 Students
Year 11 Maths Exam Predicted Paper 1
Please be aware that predicted papers for maths have been sourced and are being printed and given to your child weekly to help to prepare them for their paper 1 on the 15 May. These papers are then marked by the staff to help your child focus their revision on the topics they specifically need to improve on.
Predicted papers are designed around last year’s examiners reports and the most commonly occurring non-calculator topics. Whilst no prediction is ever a guarantee, it helps to guide students and support more focused revision. As we go through the series of exams, Paper 2 and paper 3 predictions become better and better.
A good resource that gives a worked example, alongside the question, to further support your child, will be given on Friday for the Bank holiday homework. Please ensure that this is done.
Below are some links to predicted papers that are talked through. This will support students who prefer to have things explained immediately. I would suggest that the students press pause and attempt the question first and then mark it when they press play as this works better with memory and recall in maths.
Regards
Miss S Jordan
