Update re SEND Support

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our students back to school this week and supporting them through this important academic year.

As part of a wider transition to a year-group-based model across the school, our SEND Teaching Assistants will now be allocated to specific year groups. This change is designed to provide more consistent and focused support, particularly through regular check-ins. Please note that our full intervention programme will begin in the coming weeks, once student screening and new data has been collected.

We would also like to inform you about an important update regarding ASPIRE. Due to changes in staffing, ASPIRE will be temporarily closed. We understand this may be disappointing news. However, we are pleased to share that it will reopen in November with a renewed focus, as a structured six-week intervention programme. This redesigned programme will support students who need help reintegrating into classroom routines, and will focus on building resilience, confidence, and core academic skills.

We remain committed to providing tailored and effective support to all of our students, and we appreciate your understanding and partnership as we make these changes to better meet their needs.

Kind regards

Mrs W Piper
