Sports Leaders Event
QuadKids Athletics Festival: Tuesday 8 July 2025
Your child has been chosen to be a Sports Leader at the Ipswich & South Suffolk School Games QuadKids event which is being held at Northgate High School on the afternoon of Tuesday 8 July 2025.
Students who have been selected have been made aware in school. This is a reminder of the timings and expectations for parents and carers:
- students will need to bring their academy PE kit and trainers to school on Tue 8 July
- at the start of Period 4 at 12:20, students will need to get changed in the fitness suite changing rooms
- students will then depart by minibus with me to arrive at the venue for 13:00
- students should bring a packed lunch to eat plus extra snacks to keep them doing until the event finishes
- students should bring an adequate supply of non-fizzy drinks for the duration
- students should bring sunscreen as they will be outside from 13:00
- students who are eligible for FSM will need to spend their allowance at morning break, we are not providing packed lunches
- students will be returned to school at approximately 17:30-18:00 by minibus
There is no cost to parents/carers as associated transport costs have been funded by the academy.
Students may bring their mobile phones to communicate with parents/carers on the return journey. Any personal effects or valuables brought to school or brought on trips remain the responsibility of students if they are lost, stolen or damaged.
This visit is fully covered by the academy’s insurance policy for educational visits and journeys (with the Department for Education).
May I take this opportunity to thank you for allowing your child to participate and help with the running of this event which involves over 600 primary age pupils from across the county.
As this is classified as a local sports fixture, we do not require additional parental consent. If you have any queries please contact me at school.
Regards
