Intent:
The Science team at Westbourne Academy intend to:
- Provide all students with a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum which is logically sequenced to allow progression over time. We will also provide opportunities for students to regularly review and consolidate their learning.
- Impart the knowledge and skills that allows students to develop their understanding of the natural and physical world and the wider universe.
- Raise interest, inspire curiosity and develop a passion for Science. Many of the major challenges and opportunities that confront our world need to be approached from a scientific perspective.
