Sent to Parents and Carers of Attending Y10 Students on 7/01/26

Y10 History Trip Reminder

I hope that you had a pleasant and restful Christmas break. As we are now into January, I am reaching out with a few reminders in regards to the Battlefields trip.

Firstly, a reminder that the next instalment as shown below is due to be paid by 30 January. Thank you to those of you who have already paid this and to those who paid the November payment promptly.

An email for the consent form was sent out in November.  If you could please check your inboxes and complete it, they do sometimes go to the ‘junk’ folder. I will also ask Mr Thorpe to resend it for those who have lost it.

The instalments for the trip are as below:

£80 By 30 November 2025
£70 By 30 January 2026
£80 By 30 March 2026
£70 By 4 May 2026 (balance)
£380 Total Sum Payable pp in full

Students will all need their own passport to be able to come on the trip. Please note that the EU requires the passport to have been issued within the last 10 years. Parents will also need to apply for the free GHIC card (link below).  When a parent/carers does the form for themselves, you then apply for one for your child/children at the same time.

As in the previous letters, you should also be aware that the academy reserves the right to withdraw a place on the trip for any student whose attitude, attendance, behaviour, conduct or punctuality falls below the standard we expect and require of our students.

Should there be any problems in regard to payments, GHICs, passports or the trip please do reach out to me via email and I will assist as best as I can.

Kind Regards

Mr A Archer
