Shrek Show Information for Cast & Crew
Thank you so much for your support this term. A couple of updates follow:
Firstly, owing to set availability, unfortunately, we have had to amend our show dates to the week after February half term rather than the week before. I am sincerely apologetic for any inconvenience this may have cause. This will mean that the following new important dates are in place:
Saturday 21 February Full cast Dress Rehearsal (10-4pm)
Sunday 22 February Set build (Back stage crew involvement to be confirmed)
Monday 23 February Full cast off timetable, Tech rehearsal (5pm finish)
Tuesday 24 February Full cast off timetable, notes and performance to feeder schools (5pm finish)
Wednesday 25 February: Performance Night 1 (5:30-8:30pm approx.)
Thursday 26 February Performance Night 2 (5:30-8:30pm approx.)
Friday 27 February Performance Night 3 (5:30-8:30pm approx.)
Monday 2 March Post-show party (3-5pm)
Secondly, please note that rehearsals will be extended to 5pm for the six weeks after Christmas to ensure we can make the necessary progress on what’s a very big show. As always, please get in touch should your child be unable to attend rehearsals.
Thirdly, my sincere apologies but costume lists will be released early in the New Year. With only one of me in the department (part-time!) it has been a challenge to organise everything with the trip which suddenly crept up on me.
Finally, I have asked the cast to please learn their lines and songs ready to return after Christmas without scripts. This is to assist with us with moving the show to the next level of performance readiness. Here is the link to a fantastic version of the show that you could share with your child. Don’t watch too much yourselves though and ruin the fun of the show!
Merry Christmas to you all, wishing you a happy and healthy 2026. Please get in touch any time.
Kind regards
Mrs T Price
