Outstanding Achievement in National Maths Challenge

 

Westbourne Academy is proud to celebrate an exceptional achievement by one of its Year 7 students, Gabriel, who was the only student from the school to qualify for the prestigious Kangaroo round in this year’s UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Junior Challenge.

This invitation-only round is reserved for the highest scorers in the initial competition, making Gabriel’s qualification a remarkable accomplishment.

Teacher of Maths, Mr Noble said that ‘Gabriel went on to earn a Bronze Certificate in the Kangaroo round – a significant feat that places him among the top young mathematicians in the country. His success highlights not only his mathematical talent but also his dedication and perseverance’.

Mr Higgon, Principal of Westbourne Academy said ‘we are incredibly proud of this young man’s achievement and we look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.’
