GCSE Assessment Method: Practical Performances, Written Portfolios and Tasks, Written Exam. Your overall grade is made up of 40% practical, 60% written work. Teacher marks Devising work, examiner marks Presenting and Performing Texts and Performance and Response exam.

Drama has the potential to help you in whatever direction you choose to take in life. It provides you with vital life skills that you will use on a day-to-day basis. Drama develops your communication, problem solving and teamwork skills – all things that you will need in your adult life. Drama encourages you to think creatively and to apply diverse ways of thinking to a task. It will lead you to become confident in creating your own opinions and in applying theories. Drama does not just lead you to becoming an actor, it is a sought-after qualification for many professions for professional speaking, including law and politics. Every job requires you to speak to other people confidently, and Drama will help you achieve this.
