Westbourne Celebration Day: Celebrating Success!
On Thursday 15 October, we are delighted to be holding our Westbourne Celebration Day, a special opportunity to recognise the fantastic achievements, positive behaviour and leadership shown by our pupils.
Throughout the day, year groups will come together for special celebration assemblies where pupils will be recognised for the positive contribution they make to life at Westbourne.
Recognising Positive Behaviour
We are incredibly proud to be awarding Year Group PIP Badges and certificates to pupils who met our behaviour criteria during the last academic year.
These awards recognise pupils who have consistently made positive choices and demonstrated the high standards we want to see across our academy.
We want our pupils to know that good behaviour matters, positive choices are noticed and doing the right thing deserves to be celebrated!
Celebrating Our Student Leaders
Our Celebration Day will also mark the appointment of pupils to some of our important student leadership positions.
We will proudly recognise our new:
- Student Council Members
- Junior Prefects
- Senior Prefects
Successful pupils will be formally presented with their badges and certificates, recognising the responsibility they have taken on and the trust placed in them to represent their fellow pupils and our academy.
We are immensely proud of every pupil who has put themselves forward to make a difference at Westbourne.
Building a Culture of Celebration
Our pupils deserve to feel that their effort, behaviour, achievements and contributions are recognised.
Recent student voice shows that the number of pupils who feel that good behaviour is rewarded has improved by 33% and now stands at 61%. This is really encouraging progress, but we know there is more to do.
Our Celebration Day is another important step in ensuring that recognition and praise are at the heart of life at Westbourne.
We want every pupil to believe that their choices matter, their successes are noticed and there is always something to strive towards.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils and cannot wait to celebrate with them on Thursday. Please keep an eye out for badges, certificates and hopefully smiles coming home. Congratulations to all of our award winners and new student leaders!
Kind regards
