Introducing Satchel One: Home Learning Tool
At Westbourne Academy, we use Satchel One as an online tool to help you and our students keep track of your child’s homework. It will allow you to see full details of the tasks your child has been set, all their upcoming deadlines and any submission statuses or grades recorded by their teacher.
We hope this system improves our parental communication and gives you greater visibility into the homework we set for your child. We also hope it will improve your child’s organisation, time-management and ability to keep on top of their workload.
By the end of next week, all Year 7 classes should have had their first computing lesson when they will learn how to log in to academy systems.
Year 7 students will then be given a printed login slip to take home (in tutor time) with the parent code you need to log in to your child’s Satchel One. This code is linked to your child’s account, where you will be able to see their To-do List and any overdue homework. You can log in via the mobile app to receive push notifications while on the move; this will also notify you of grades and overdue homework.
On our website page below, you can find lots of information about the range of online learning platforms our students and staff use as well as the username and password format that is needed:

If you or your child have any questions about the service, please don’t hesitate to visit the Satchel One help centre at help.satchelone.com. If you would like to get in touch with the school or provide feedback, please contact Mr G Cole, Assistant Principal.
Thank you once again for your support.
Kind regards
Mr D Payne
Head of Year 7
