Year 11 Language’s Speaking PREs
I would like to inform you that our Spanish and French GCSE Speaking PRE will take place on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 December.
Students will be allocated a precise time slot and will need to arrive 12 minutes early for their supervised preparation. Tests will take place in H4 (through the Food Hall and upstairs). It is vital that students show up at the right time as it will not be possible to administer the tests on a different date.
This is a valuable opportunity to find out exactly what the real test is like, and students tend to perform far better in the real exam as a result of this practice.
The test is worth 25% of the total GCSE grade and consists of the three components below.
- Role play
- Photo description
- General conversation on one Theme (students have prepared answers on this theme and should be learning them by heart)
Thank you for your support and encouragement of our language’s groups. I understand that this is a stressful test, but we will do everything we can to put students at their ease.
