Given to invited Y10 Computer Science students 15/06/22
Computer Science Trip to Festival of Suffolk Technology Day: Tuesday 21 June 2022
This trip will provide an opportunity for students to meet a range of technology companies from around Suffolk and find out about the careers on offer, hear talks from technology experts on exciting topics, and see demos of the latest technologies and explore how they’re used in the real world.
I hope that this will bring what they have been learning to life and provide them with relevant examples. As the trip is leaving in the morning, students will not need to wear their academy uniform to school. Students should still be appropriately dressed for this trip as they are ambassadors for the academy and will be in a business environment ie no crop tops, sleeveless tops or ripped jeans.
We will be travelling by minibus, departing the academy at 09:00. We will depart from the studio at 15:45 by taxi and anticipate arriving back at the academy at approximately 16:15.
Arrangements will therefore need to be made for collecting your child at that time unless they are allowed to make their own way home from school. Below is our itinerary for this activity.

Students may bring their mobile phones to communicate with parents on the return journey and to take photographs at the studio. Any personal effects or valuables brought to school or brought on trips remain the responsibility of students if they are lost, stolen or damaged.
Any student who would normally receive a free school meal will be provided with a packed lunch on the day provided this is ordered in advance on the attached consent form. This visit is fully covered by the academy’s insurance policy for educational visits and journeys (ZURICH Insurance).
If you have any questions with regards to the trip, please do not hesitate to contact me at school.
