Skate Suffolk Event – 24 August 2024

We have been asked by the Chairman of a local charity called Skate Suffolk, to share the following information with parents and carers.

Skate Suffolk have received some funding from NWIBLT to deliver an event on the 24 of August at the Whitehouse and Whitton Skate Park, between 11am and 2pm. The event will include skill-based workshops, for free! These include skateboard coaching, skateboard art and sticker making, a crash course in DJ-ing and carpentry, making skateboard obstacles.

Skate Suffolk would like to give Westbourne students first refusal on the 20 places available for the DJ-ing and carpentry workshops [10 on each].

The participants will need to be at least 12 years old and have a parent or carer attend to sign a waiver form on the day (they will not need to stick around).

Attached is a poster that includes a QR code that can be scanned to access their booking form. The booking form can also be accessed via the following link

Skate Suffolk will not be making this poster live to the general public for another two weeks, ensuring that Westbourne students have priority to this free event. There will be a skateboard competition in the afternoon with prizes.
